If you’re thinking about buying a new mouse stop right here. The Corsair dark core mouse is the one you’re looking for. I spent countless hours reading reviews and looking for my new mouse from places like razor (which if you look at my instagram @ironjosh300, you’ll see my old razor naga), and finally came across a refurbed dark core RGB from Corsair.
It was for a solid price, and lets be honest, corsair makes some really great products for people like us. But here’s where it gets really really good, the mouse charges wirelessly! We all know how rough it is being in ranked games and your batteries crap out! Or maybe wires aren’t your thing like me. Wireless charging is great technology and flawless in this mouse!
So yes, the mouse is a little higher on the price scale, but we havent even discussed how you can on the fly slow down your cursor movement using the buttons on the front left side. It has 3 levels and you can adjust them with the corsair iCue software.
Speaking of iCue, the software lets you program what color you want the mouse, how fast and accurate or general it needs to be. It has profiles for the mouse, although i just use the 1. And of course, for advanced gaming controls, macro programming. I dont use the macro programming myself, but if I wanted to sit and learn it, i would use it. The buttons on the side are also programmable for whatever options you want to use them for. I really have gotten used to surfing the web and just clicking “back” to previous sites with my mouse.
The mouse also has 2 comfort clips to give you options on how you like to rest your hand. I have larger hands and the mouse is about a medium fit for me - which is perfect for others.
Cons: I do keep my mouse plugged in a lot and when gaming the minute detail of a stiff cord is really annoying, my naga razor mouse cord was very loose in comparison. Other than that, once in a while the iCue software needs to be restarted with your computer for updates and when its done, it puts your mouse on default settings; no big deal - just go back in and click back to your saved profile.
I bought a refurbished one, and have had no problems whatsoever. I would reccomend this product with an 80/100. To get it to 100 the iCue software really needs to be flawless, and the cord, although may seem minor to developers; is very noticeable to gamers.
